Prescription and Medication Information
Questions about your prescription
If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer these. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.
If you would like to speak to someone at the GP surgery about your prescription:
Ordering repeat prescriptions
You can order repeat prescriptions online:
These accounts show you all your repeat medicine and dosage and you can choose the ones you need.
You can also
- drop a request slip into the surgery, or you can post your order form to us enclosing a stamped addressed envelope.
We no longer accept repeat prescription requests over the phone or email.
Nominating a pharmacy
You no longer must collect your repeat prescriptions from the surgery, instead we will send it electronically to the pharmacy of your choice saving you time.
We call this nominating a pharmacy.
You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:
- Online, on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
- At your GP practice
- At any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions
Find your local pharmacy.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be required to have a medication review at least once a year.
A notification will appear on your medication repeat slip.
If you have a long-term condition, you will be contacted by a member of the team who will book the appropriate appointments.
Collecting your prescription
You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 2 to 3 working days after you have ordered it.
